Literacy Planet Curriculum Mapping Document

Literacy content will be constantly updated as the program expands.

The Australian Curriculum is due for release in 2011. The Literacy Planet Curriculum Mapping Document provides a year-by-year guideline to assist educators and parents to find suitable literacy content for students. Literacy Planet integrates the three interrelated strands that underpin the English curriculum - Language, Literature and Literacy.

Ways you can use Literacy Planet:

• Teachers can assign tasks for students to complete
• Guided Learning to diagnose students' literacy skills and issue prescribed learning schedules
• Report on class and student performance over time
• Student directed learning using Academy  ›  Free Learning
• Teacher directed learning using Interactive Whiteboards

Checklist to implement Literacy Planet:

• Internet Speed: Broadband Internet Connection is preferred
• Screen resolution: 1024-768 minimum
• Check firewall: this may prevent MP3 files or particular words such as “crack”, “ninja” etc from being downloaded
• Speakers or headphones: students need to be able to hear instructions
