Literacy Planet at Home

Literacy Planet offers a high-quality play-based literacy resource that students of the ‘digital’ age expect. Students are motivated and excited to engage in literacy learning that achieves genuine learning outcomes.

Diagnostic tests are available for you to use to determine your child’s literacy ability, and common language explanations and graphs help you make sense of the results. A prescribed learning schedule* is generated at the completion of the diagnostics to meet your child’s unique literacy needs. Students are then re-tested to ensure they have reached competencies in these literacy skills before advancing. You are also alerted if your child is struggling in a particular literacy area.*

For students who prefer to work independently, the ‘Free Learning’ section of the program is perfect. Here students can select from thousands of graded exercises focusing on pre-reading, phonics, reading, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension.* This ensures that students are constantly challenged and can see their progress. Literacy Planet allows students the flexibility of working at their own pace or competing against other students in the Arena. The Arena is a fun, exciting and rewarding place, featuring real-time literacy games that satisfies any competitive streak.
