Customise avatar

One of the most appealing aspects of Literacy Planet is a student's ability to customise their avatar (the cute furry green character you see above). Every student can personalise their learning experience by changing their avatar’s colour, mood and clothing. Fun clothing and accessories are purchased using virtual credits earned in the Academy.

A student’s avatar is always with them as they work throughout the program, while a sense of community is achieved by featuring guest appearances from other avatars.

Mail

Students receive automated congratulatory messages on reaching milestones and achieving targets.

Trophy Room

Students collect trophies, medals and badges as part of Literacy Planet's positive reward system. The trophy room is where these items can be viewed as a motivational element in a student's learning experience, instilling pride and confidence in their personal achievements.

Friends*

Students can develop a positive group atmosphere whereby they invite known friends to view their academic progress, and provide positive comment and reinforcement utilising predetermined messages (there is no direct communication between students).

Literacy Planet is a safe learning environment that encourages students to acknowledge the success of their peers.
