Heith Mackay-Cruise


Heith has more than 20 years experience leading companies in the education, technology and media sectors. He was founding CEO of Sterling Early Education and has served as global CEO of Study Group and CEO for PBL Media New Zealand. Heith is also Chair of hipages Group and the Vision Australia Foundation, a non-executive director of ASX listed Bailador Technology Investments and LifeHealthcare Group, a non-executive director of Academic Colleges Group (NZ), and a member of the Adara Partners Advisory Board. 


Shane Davis

Founder and Director

Shane began developing literacy focused elearning software in 1999, and quickly realised the magic of computer aided learning for children. In 2008 he established Intrepica Pty Ltd to create LiteracyPlanet, to provide an online programme for anywhere-anytime learning. Shane believes in giving children of all ages and any ability the opportunity to unlock their potential by improving their literacy skills. He is very proud of the difference LiteracyPlanet makes to the lives of teachers, parents and children from all walks of life.


Adam McArthur

CEO and Managing Director

Adam's management and corporate development experience comes from working in a variety of sectors in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. This includes serving as CEO to successful digital growth businesses, such as News Corp's Moshtix and ParcelPoint. As CEO of LiteracyPlanet, he brings this experience together with his passion for education and children having access to resources that can set them up for a successful future. Adam is excited about delivering effective literacy education in an increasingly digital world.


Alexi Baker


Alexi is a corporate strategy and transaction focused executive with expertise across media, retail and digital. She is the Director of Strategy at Nine Entertainment Co. and oversees its investment in LiteracyPlanet. Alexi also sits on the boards of PedestrianTV, Ratecity and Freeview. She is excited about the digital innovation taking place in education, and the enthusiasm educators have for LiteracyPlanet, including her mother who is a retired special education teacher.
