Pushes your pupils ahead of the pack

LiteracyPlanet’s reputable brand of evidence-based, curriculum-aligned content and cutting-edge digital technology has been proven to be an effective way to develop literacy skills in students.

A major research study from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) analysed scores and usage levels of students using LiteracyPlanet’s digital programmes from January 2016 to January 2018, meticulously investigating 500 million rows of data to see what is working well.

And the results speak for themselves.

Key findings

PwC analysis observed a strong relationship between the amount of exercises a pupil has completed and an improvement in their literacy outcomes. A significant 12% average improvement in grades was recorded with the completion of just 70 LiteracyPlanet exercises.

Data also found participating in a variety of subjects had a positive impact on pupil results and the more subjects a pupil participates in the higher their average score.

PwC compared the rate of improvement for students completing four assigned exercises per month to those completing two exercises per month. While both groups improve, the group completing four assigned exercises per month did so at a higher rate (77% vs 75.5%).

What this tells us

The big message we can take from this data is LiteracyPlanet will give your students an edge and the more you use it, the greater this advantage will be. Simply by assigning an extra two exercises per month, teachers were able to give their pupils an edge.
